Sah Bum Nim Dudrow is Head Instructor and co-owner of Jhoon Rhee Black Belt Academy. With over 20 years of experience in training and teaching Tae Kwon Do, she is the driving force in the Academy.

Kyo Sah Nim Thomas

Like many students, Kyo Sah Nim Thomas started her training as an activity to do with her family. It wasn’t far into her training before she realized that Tae Kwon Do filled a void in her life she didn’t even know was there. Sharing that enrichment has led to her role as an Instructor in the Academy. Kyo Sah Nim earned her first degree black belt in the Spring of 2008, and became a Jhoon Rhee International Certified Instructor in 2009. In the spring of 2010, Kyo Sah Nim Thomas earned her second degree black belt. In her own training, Kyo Sah Nim likes to focus on the details, snap and power. Applying that focus, combined with her Instructor Training, she teaches students how to create that same level of excellence in their own performance.

Sensei Vincent
Black Belt in Shotokan

Sensei Vincent has been involved in weaponry and martial arts for over 20 years. His background includes training in Shotokan, European Fencing, Aikido and Kendo. He crafts custom bladed weapons at Dark Wolf Forge (Point of Rocks, MD) which has allowed him a unique opportunity to more deeply understand swordplay. He has also exchanged custom blades for private instruction normally reserved for advanced students. This rare blend of craftsmanship and training has allowed Sensei Vincent to break the style barrier between Eastern and Western sword techniques. He imparts this elite background to his students in our Eastern Sword classes. While the focus is on Katana and Wakizashi (traditional Samurai weapons), he also includes the use of the Jian and Dao (Chinese swords) and the combative use of shields typically seen in Western martial arts. Sensei Vincent’s diverse program allows students to explore a custom program not offered anywhere else.
